Today I had a great workshop about communication with my friend Walyson Oliveira from IBM.
It inspired me to write about the importance of clear communication on virtual teams.
Just yesterday I faced a challenge regarding communication with one of our clients. He sent an email asking for help and after a couple of days he got no answer.
There is no need to say how unhappy he was. So when I investigated what cause this communication problem, I discovered his problem was already resolved, but he wasn’t communicated clearly.
It’s essencial to understand client’s expectations when communicating virtually. In this case, the client was expecting that he was informed about problem resolution formerly.
And when communicating both with clients and the team members, your message needs to be clear about your goals and concise. It will make easier to your audience understanding, independent of their culture or the communication channel.
