In self-organizing teams, it might be a challenge to individuals to say ‘no’ to some activities, but what needs to be understood is that it should not be a problem if the ‘no’ is followed by negotiation.

One project member alone won’t be able to do all the work of several projects for yesterday and many times a project can already be delayed when a person is engaged.

That’s why it’s important that if a project member have ten activities assigned, he takes the time to understand each task value for the project and the client.

Only then, individuals be able to prioritize what’s first and what needs to be negotiated to be done in few minutes, hours or maybe days.

Afete that, this information needs to be provided to the project member, who will be able to make any plans adjustment, as start other work that is not dependent.

If project members only accept and don’t know to organize and prioritize their requests, the chances to have human errors will only increase.

And worst, this human errors will be caused by stressed individuals, unsatisfied with their work environment and that can’t emphasize with the clients.
